Make Greeting Cards Rubber Stamp the Budget Blues Away!

To help save money, we've found to helps to make your own greeting cards. There are many ways to do this. Envelopes can be purchased at Staples for about $15 for 100. A pack of 500 sheets of card stock in white from Wal-Mart runs about $4.00.

Cards can be printed from your ink jet printer, decorated with magic markers and magazine cut-outs. Rubber stamping is a popular craft. Fancy scissors can be purchased from the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each. Once you have gathered supplies you can make cards for pennies on the dollar. Some rubber stamps can also be purchased there for $1.00 each.

Another potential source of rubber stamps is Freecycle. Visit Freecycle.Org to find a group near you. People will post to this list when they have something they no longer use and want to keep from a landfill. It's ok to post if you are looking for something. Someone on the list might have it and respond.

Make your own greeting cards. It's a great way to save money. Plus, the recipient is happier knowing the card was made with love. That's an unbeatable combination.
