Mandarin House Chinese Restaurant in Knoxville, TN

The Mandarin House Chinese Restaurant was one of the first local chinese restaurants that I tried as a child. A large buffet tempts the palatte of even the pickiest eater. They also have child friendly favorites like chicken nuggets that helps the restaurant appeal to more people.

There isn't anything fancy about the Mandarin House Chinese Restaurant in Knoxville. It's exactly the kind of place that you picture when the thought of a Chinese food buffet comes to mind. Diners can expect traditional dishes like Beef and Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Chicken or pork, Crab Rangoon or chicken skewers. Soup choices are usually either wonton or egg drop and they have a salad bar.

Service is usually good but not extraordinary. Tea glasses and sodas are usually kept filled by friendly servers. The bar helps offer a well-rounded array of beverage choices of all types. The atmosphere is family-style casual and the dining rooms are huge. The Mandarin House Chinese Buffet in Knoxville is the kind of place where you can linger with friends without feeling rushed or dine-in over lunch hour. It's a nice change of pace in family style dining.

Read more about it on Yahoo Voices at http://bit.ly/XIQWPX. It's also one of the Knoxville restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day.
