Today was the leader training for the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission. This was a treat. The speaker did a fine job. I learned so much! Plus, it was great to see the others that were there.
The trip to Alaska seems so far off but so close at the same time. I've been looking at the calendar, the budget and trying to formulate a workable itinery. Wow. This is tough. The way AAA routed us back from Alaska is a scenic route through much of the northwestern US. I'm sure it's beautiful but it is so expensive.
When the Econo Lodge hits $161 a night you know you're standing in high cotton! We'll keep plugging away and see what we come up with. Right now, we'll probably come home the way we went out. That's ok too.
