Photos from West Knoxville Dogwood Trail

Have you been any of the Dogwood Trails in Knoxville yet? Hubby and I took a drive through West Knoxville and decided to tour one of the trails. It seems that the blossoms get more beautiful every year! Check out the photos below. You'll see what I mean.

This particular Dogwood Trail is off of Kingston Pike and behind and around the Deane Hill Library but there are plenty of other trails to explore.

There's another route off of Chapman Hwy. and one in deep West Knoxville that I want to try. The website of the Dogwood Arts Festival lists all of the Dogwood Trails. You'll want to click the link below for the full list.

The trails were developed as part of the annual event known as the Dogwood Arts Festival. There are trails all around Knoxville, plus there are open gardens and a house and garden show. Touring the routes is always lots of fun.

Don't forget, the annual parade will be held on April 29, 2011. There are going to be floats, enormous parade balloons and lots of marching bands. The free fun begins at 7:00 pm.

One of the more popular events of the Dogwood Arts Festival is the Chalk Walk. It's coming up on April 30,  on Market Square Mall. Teams will be creating sidewalk murals. A judging will determine who will win and who won't. The event runs from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The Knoxville Dogwood Arts Festival is a cacophony of color and art. It's also a top reason to visit Knoxville or live here.
