Can you name this travel bear?

Can you name this travel bear? It's about to be retired and placed in a forever home. Is it a girl or a boy? You get to decide if this is a boy or a girl. Post your suggestions in the comment section below. I'll take suggestions through Thursday night, May 12, 2011.

After that all the names will be put into a hat and one will be drawn. The winning name will be posted on Friday.

Be sure to put your name and email address in the comment section too. Our lucky winner will receive a .pdf certificate that's suitable for framing. It will have the name of the travel bear and list a few of the places that were visited.

The bears are traveling the world (or at least a corner of it) to raise awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault. When retired, they will each be given to a child who can use some extra comfort.

Along with the bear will be some mementos or photos from the travels. It's a fun way to raise awareness and make some kids feel better at the same time.

Keep checking back to see where the bears are traveling. There is a link on the sidebar of this blog. Click on it to see all the articles.

This bear has been photographed in:
  • Panera Bread in Farragut, TN
  • Red Robin in Farragut, TN
  • Norris Dam State Park in Norris, TN
  • Shenandoah National Park in Virginia
  • Appalachian Trail in Virginia
  • Bass Pro Shops in Kodak, TN
  • (He also went to Washington, DC but a technical issue kept us from taking a photo. Oops!)

Thanks for helping us raise awareness of domestic violence. Now, let's name that travel bear!
