Installing insulation on Alaska mission trip |
Conflicting information from our carrier made me decide to purchase additional mission trip insurance. We got it from our denomination for about $20. My daughter and I had the road trip experience of a lifetime on our travels. The policy wasn't needed but having it in place helped me sleep better.
Travel insurance is a necessity for any trip
I completely agree with this article! A few years ago our youth group took a trip to Haiti and a youth broke her arm falling off a roof. Luckily, she was okay, but her injury cost almost $15,000 and was not covered by her family's insurance. In the past few years we have gone on mission trips within the United States, ( mostly found on http://youthworks.com/ ) so it has not been an issue. However, for any international trips, we require people to purchase international policies. Its a church wide policy now!

ReplyDeleteEllie,
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know that she's ok. The lack of insurance is unthinkable when a child is injured!
You can't go wrong by purchasing mission trip insurance. For the price of dinner, the protection can literally save you thousands if the insurance is needed.
