We began looking for cheap bridal gowns
right after my daughter told us about the engagement. An 18 month
advance notice gave us plenty of time to search for the right dress.
She was able to decide which styles suited her and to find cheap
bridal gowns in Knoxville.
Did you know that almost every thrift
shop in Knoxville carries wedding gowns? We found bridal gowns at every KARM and Goodwill store that we went into. We didn't find one for my daughter but shopping was fun. Thrift shops have everything from vintage to modern styles.
Plan on having to clean any dress that you buy from a thrift shop. Otherwise, the ones that we looked at were in great condition. You can find prom gowns, mother's dresses and even bridesmaids dresses. The inventory can change frequently so it pays to visit often.
Other stores that carry cheap bridal
gowns include consignment shops. Several carried dresses for special
occasions but not necessarily strictly wedding gowns. We found some
pretty dresses, but none of them really worked on the bride.
Shops like Alfred Angelo and Bella
Boutique were out of our spending plan. It was with much trepidation
that I walked into David's Bridal. It isn't normally the place that I
would look for cheap bridal gowns. This changed when my daughter
phoned with the news that she had found 'The Gown'
It turns out that David's Bridal does
carry some cheap bridal gowns on clearance that are as low as $99.
Although my daughter's wedding dress wasn't on clearance, but it was
several hundred dollars cheaper than full price. Even better is that
it suited her frame and the needed alterations were minimal.
