non-United Methodist Christian bookstores in Knoxville

There are several Christian bookstores in Knoxville where you can purchase supplies. The recent announcement by the United Methodist Publishing House (UMPH) to close all storefront Cokesbury Bookstores has left many United Methodists feeling frustration. When it comes to finding Christian bookstores in Knoxville that carry United Methodist materials we'll be out of luck after the closure.

Closure of the Cokesbury Bookstore is virtually unthinkable. Although there are other Christian bookstores in Knoxville a Change.org petition http://chn.ge/YOrC9L is collecting signatures to try to convince the United Methodist Publishing House to keep the stores open. If you shop at Cokesbury, then I hope that you will add your signature to the above link.

Stores keep evolving so no list of non-United Methodist bookstores is complete. If the UMPH does continue with their plan to shutter storefront locations by April 2013, there are other options. One choice is to order on line. Another is to shop locally at these Christian bookstores in Knoxville.
