Knoxville wedding venues range from upscale to down home

We had fun looking at Knoxville wedding venues last year but I thought that she would never decide. Knoxville wedding venues range from glamorous to country. You can find just about anything you want. 

The wedding venue should reflect the personalities of the bride and groom and fit within the budget. Knoxville has almost every choice imaginable. When we were planning my daughter's wedding, it was difficult for us to pin down where to start.

My daughter's ending choice turned out to be the beginning choice. My first suggestion was our home church but she nixed it pretty quickly.

However; after looking at other Knoxville wedding venues she decided to use it after all. It wasn't the grandest or the most elegant but she was the fifth generation to be involved with the church. In the end, that history was too much to walk away from.



Here are a few Knoxville wedding venues to help your search begin. I am not affiliated with them in any way and only list them in hopes of making your search a little easier.

Club LeConte has long been considered the place for everything and is often thought of as the most exclusive club in town.  Parties, events, business meetings, luncheons, weddings - you name it. Club LeConte is atop a bank building in downtown Knoxville.

Bluebird Hill is where upscale meets down home. It has a huge 5,500 square ft. event center and sits on a 75 acre horse farm. The illusion is that you are out in the country but don't worry. You're only a few minutes from Farragut. Bluebird Hill is one of the versatile Knoxville wedding venues. Options include being indoors with stone fireplaces, on the large outdoor porch, under a tent or in one of the gardens. 

Country Jewell is on Hickory Valley Road in Heiskell and is only minutes from Knoxville. They host indoor events or outdoors and have space for garden weddings. Country Jewell only recently came to our attention so we didn't have a chance to check it out for our needs.


Museum of Appalachia Next to our home church, this might have been my wedding venue choice. Of course it wasn't up to me, it was up to my daughter. The Museum of Appalachia provides a country backdrop amid the center of a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum. How many people can say that they married in a place like this? Staff answered all of our questions and then some. It's about 30 minutes from Knoxville but is near the interstate exit. In my opinion, this is one of the Knoxville wedding venues that's worth the drive.

I know from experience that picking the right venue can be frustrating. Take a deep breath and try hang in there. You'll know the right spot when you see it. After that, then you can move on to choosing flowers, decorations and decide if you want to take out insurance or not. My daughter and I wrestled with the decision. Here's a blog post on it..
