The Chop House: This
restaurant was our favorite when we lived there, it was our favorite when we
did mystery shops there and it is still #1 on our list of eateries. This last trip we both ordered the Prime Rib
and if you are into that cut of beef, then you need to put The Chop House on
your ‘to eat at’ list. They have been
around a long time and they know what they are doing!
Bullfish: I love
Bullfish, but learned the hard way that if you don’t want your Prime Rib
covered in gravy be sure to tell them that.
I had no idea they served it that way.
I did have their steak our first visit and it was very good. The service is good, the food is good, just
watch out for the gray!

Harpoon Harry’s:
While their service is on the slow side, it is worth the wait. Make sure to order a shrimp cocktail to keep
you busy while waiting! We have eaten
there a few times since they opened and they have gotten a little faster. Check out their bar!

J.T. Hannah’s:
Another great, casual place where the drinks are served in Mason jars
and the ribs really do fall off the bone.
We ate there last week and I had a baked sweet potato with my Rib Eye
Steak – delicious potato and perfectly cooked steak!

Jersey Mike’s: Since
we are originally from New Jersey, the home of Jersey Mike’s, we were extremely
happy to learn of their new location in Pigeon Forge. That was our first stop last week – and the
subs are just as good as we remember!
Texas Roadhouse:
Again, great steaks preferred your way.
The Roadhouse does tend to get a little noisy at times, especially if
you are seated anywhere near the bar area!
I don’t think we’ve ever had a bad meal there.
Old Time Pottery:
This is an old-time favorite of mine. When we lived in that area we spent
hours walking through this store…it’s huge.
If you plan to visit Pigeon Forge please put Old Time Pottery on your
list. Right now, they have millions of
Fall decorations and the beginning of Christmas decorations. I did pick up a very cute wooden Fall pumpkin
for the mantel. They have thousands and
thousands of plates, cups, mugs, glassware and all kinds of home décor
items.
Tanger Outlet Mall:
I am not an outlet shopper normally and when we go to the Chop House for
dinner it just happens that Skechers outlet is close by. If you love Skechers stop in and try on a
pair or two or three!

| Add to your Corelle or start a new pattern |
Corelle Outlet: This
outlet is in the Red Roof outlet and if you are a Corelle lover you need to
check out their prices. The top level is
mostly their current patterns and you can buy sets of individual pieces. In the basement they have tons of odd
pieces. I picked up 4 small plates that normally
sell for $5 each, marked to $1.50 and were on sale that day for ½ price, so I
paid $3 for 4 plates!

Publix: Up until a
few months ago the only grocery stores were Kroger or Food City. Now there is a brand-new Publix. It’s was so nice to visit that store which is
very convenient to where we stay. We
actually did a little grocery shopping the day before we left so that we
wouldn’t have to rush to go shopping once we got home.
There you have it – my Top Ten in Tennessee.
