My drive to Alaska from Tennessee via New Mexico

In July 18, 2017, a friend and my service dog and I left East Tennessee for Alaska - via New Mexico! The month long cross-continent road trip was one for the record books. We arrived in Bellingham, Washington on July 25, crossed the Canada border into Abbottsford the next day. We drove western Canada to Tok and on to our mission trip destination of Seward,  Alaska.

Our two planned stops were in New Mexico and in Bellingham, Washington. We stayed with family, saw friends we tried New Mexico food (it's a cuisine of its own), visited White Sands and packed a life time of memories into one summer.

We overnighted in Bellingham to do laundry and grab a hot shower on our last night in the U.S. The map below outlines this portion of our road trip. On July 26, we crossed the Canada border.
