Las Vegas is an Inexpensive Vacation and More Than Casinos

A friend of mine lives in Las Vegas. When she offered to show us around we took her up on it. It was hard for me to imagine that the town would have so much to offer. It turned out to be a relatively inexpensive vacation that was more than casinos. We didn't know we could get Las Vegas coupons online and relied on my friend's expertise.

My family drove out west. If you like to fly you might want to check out this Southwest Airline promo code.

What we found surprised me. My family was able to stay one block off of the Las Vegas strip for about $50 a night. For the most part dining was reasonably priced. (We did splurge one afternoon on a high end lunch that made the kids happy.)

On our second afternoon we headed out to Hoover Dam. The Dam is maintained by the Bureau of Reclamation and is a sight to behold. There are displays, a museum and amazing views.

We also walked around Caesar's Palace (photo on left). There we window shopped at FAO Schwartz, took advantage of photo moments and enjoyed the intriguing indoor displays.

I had hoped to see the Dancing Fountain at the Bellagio but we somehow missed it. This free show takes place outdoors and is definitely on my to do list for next time. Driving and walking through the older part of Las Vegas was interesting too!

Since Las Vegas is an inexpensive vacation and more than casinos there will be a next time. I'm already watching travel coupons for deals.
