Wedding planning considerations and tips

Other wedding considerations include music, flowers and the number of guests that will be in attendance. There are a few things to keep in mind when preparing for your wedding.

Choose a venue that suits your style and taste.
It goes without saying that you should choose a venue that reflects your personality. Dallas, Texas has room for fun themed weddings or the traditional formal wedding.

Take your time.
You can't plan a wedding overnight so don't even try. Take your time to select the right place, flowers and music. Allowing a year is often a good rule of thumb. That may seem like a long time but it's not. If you are paid by the month a wedding one year away equals to 12 paydays.

Keep the number of wedding guests in mind.
Be sure that you have enough space for your guests to feel comfortable. In a large space a small wedding can feel lost.

You'll also want to consider your guests when planning how to serve the food and flower arrangements. A formal meal may be fine for a small or medium sized wedding. At a very large wedding it can be hard to serve a formal meal do a buffet may be best. Let your caterer advise you.

Flowers
Choosing flowers is one of the most fun things about a wedding. It's important to choose flowers that reflect your taste but also the size of the reception. When placed on tables the arrangements need to be either short or above eye level. This allows conversation to flow while guests are seated.
