My Grandmas Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole - Say Yum!

Grandma’s Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole Recipe has always been a success at Thanksgiving dinners, family reunions and Christmas gatherings. So far, I've always brought a clean plate home after taking this to a potluck.

This recipe is easy to put together. The broccoli cauliflower casserole one of those "special occasion" recopies that tastes delicious but will wreak havoc on your diet. You precook all of the ingredients and mix them together. Next you add the cracker topping and throw under the broiler until brown.

I love Grandma's broccoli cauliflower casserole but since I am dieting I will have to try to limit my servings. Substituting lighter versions of the listed ingredients could possibly help reduce the calories and fat content. It will also no doubt affect the flavor.

Since the vegetable side dish has always been such a smash hit, I prefer to leave Grandma's recipe unchanged (except for the onion that was omitted due to allergy problems).

If you want to check on the difference between the original version of the dish and one that substitutes ingredients you can do it. Simply use the nutrition calculator that's found on the recipe page. It's what I used to determine the nutritional information. Use the link below to get the recipe. You'll find the nutrition calculator near the bottom of the recipe.
