Shadracks Christmas Wonderland lights exit 407

I just got a message asking about a 'humdinger' of a display of Christmas lights at the Smokies Baseball Stadium. The display can be seen for several miles around the I-40 at exit 407 in Tennessee. That isn't just any display folks. It's Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland and it keeps getting bigger and better each year. (Check this link for photos of the Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland 2012.)

Only three states have this spectacular show. The East Tennessee location is at the  Smokies Baseball Stadium in Kodak / Sevierville (I-40, exit 407). It runs from November 11, 2011- January 8, 2012.

The admission price varies depending on the size and type of vehicle. Full information is available on the website for Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland at the Smokies Baseball Stadium in Sevierville (Kodak).

Shadrack's always gives a portion of the proceeds back to the community. This year, a portion of the admission proceeds will benefit Mission of Hope to help make Christmas brighter for families who can use a little help.

As you approach the entrance booth you are advised to turn off your headlights. The drive through area is clearly marked off with rows of holiday lights. Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland is fully set to music and broadcasted into your vehicle by tuning into a designated radio station.

The admissions booth will give you the station. It may vary by location. During the light show very flash of light and is carefully synchronized with every beat of music. We have footage online of the incredible 2010 show. The link should open in a new tab.

The Christmas lights run in a continual loop. Drivers are allowed to pull off to the side for as long as they wish. However, for the safety of everyone all occupants must remain in their vehicles.

My family enjoys the Christmas light show every year. We first began attending the attraction when it was in the West Knoxville area. A couple of years ago Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland was moved to its current East Tennessee location. Not only has the shown gotten bigger but the number of added attractions is growing.

In addition to the Christmas light display, Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland features a free petting zoo with pony and camel rides available for a small fee.

A Christmas tree lot, wreaths and refreshments are also available for a nominal cost. New this year is the Kids Santa Train, inflatable slide, and Ferris wheel plus other attractions.

I'm looking forward to attending again this year. Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland is a good evening of fun family entertainment.
