Two oddball tourist attractions in Tennessee

Since becoming a blogger I have found a plethora of fun tourist attractions in Tennessee. The variety in our area never ceases to amaze me. My articles have included pieces on the Cherohala Skyway, Chattanooga Aquarium, Christmas lights, a fossil field and more. When it comes to oddball tourist attractions there are two that especially stand out..

Green dragon
One of the most oddball attractions almost met with tragedy a few months ago when the fireworks building next to it caught fire. The owners brought in new and used construction equipment to flatten the building and clean up. The large green dragon seems to be none the worse for wear. Actually, the empty space around the dragon makes it easier to find.

Take I-75 North and you can't miss it. It is several stories high and can be seen from about a mile from the 134 exit. Because of the construction you can no longer walk up to the dragon. However, you can get a good look from your car. Get off of the exit and turn right at the traffic light. Go about a mile and you will find it on the right.

World's Largest Guitar
Head to Bristol, Tennessee on I-81. The World's Largest Guitar stands three stories tall and 70 feet long. The landmark was constructed by Joe Morrell in 1983. You can get a pretty good view of the guitar from the Tennessee rest area. It has to be one of the most oddball tourist attractions in Tennessee.
