Recycle plastic bags; light bulbs at EarthFest Knoxville

Just a friendly reminder to bring your plastic bags when you head to  EarthFest in Knoxville  today. You can do your part to help the environment by recycling them. Tennova will hand you a free ecofriendly tote to anyone who brings in at least 10 plastic grocery sacks.

Got a burned out light bulb? Bring it to EarthFest. To help the environment KUB will give you a new fluorescent bulb in exchange for your old one. It's a pretty good deal. Last year, KUB was willing to take several old bulbs per person for recycling but the freebie fluorescent bulbs were limited to one per household.

Getting anything for free in exchange for helping the environment is pretty cool. It's an added bonus for reducing our carbon footprint. The environment wins and we win twice. We can't beat it.

EarthFest in Knoxville runs from 10 am – 5 pm today. The link above has more details about the booths and environment exhibits at the event.

We all need to do our part to keep our mountains as green as this photos. Recycling plastic, carrying reusable totes and conserving energy are environment saving steps that we can each take. It all starts by bringing those plastic bags to EarthFest.
