Selections included the Star-Spangled Banner, the Chicago Tribune March and Atomic City March. Other pieces included Nine-to-Five, a polka, a tribute to Louis Armstrong and more.
Skies above the band shell threatened to rain and a few sprinkles tried to put a damper on the event. Even these threats from Mother Nature didn't stop the Oak Ridge Community Band from performing the last summer concert.
This is one of those family friendly events that delight all ages. The assembled crowd was small but were delighted with the concert. Hands clapped to rhythmic beats of old favorites. An older couple even danced to the polka.
