Earth Fest hits the ball out of the park by combining environmental education with providing solutions.
It's great to be able to come to one place to find information that you need to help you greener. This eliminates multiple trips out in a vehicle. The information visitors gain can make a difference in how they relate to the environment.
The theme for Earth Fest this year was Rooted in Sustainability and the festival really hit the mark. I came away with some great handmade soap and tons of information on how to live a more environmentally-friendly life.
It's not as complicated as it sounds. I came away from Earth Fest with the knowledge that small changes make a big impact.

The kids section at Earth Fest was busy and the food business was brisk. Bags were brought to Earth Fest in Knoxville to be recycled. Unfortunately, Keep Knoxville Beautiful was out of totes by the time we were directed to them. They still accepted our pile of plastic grocery bags for recycling purposes.
Guess what other area was popular? If you said the clean fuel vehicle showcase, then you would be right.
Earthfest was fun! You did a good job of capturing the diversity of the information and participants.
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks. This is one of my favorite festivals in Knoxville. The theme is meaningful and it's family friendly (even for Fido). Next to the displays, one of the best parts for me is the ease of navigation. You aren't parking and then walking several city blocks to get there. Earth Fest is just a really nice event.
