Megabus introduces new mobile app

Megabus just introduced the newest tool for bus tracking. Get real time information by downloading the free app to your mobile phone. The website says to type in your departure or arrival time to confirm that you are at the correct stop.

The app promises to make it easier for customers to buy tickets and stay updated. Right now, the Megabus app is not available for the Texas routes. It is projected to come online later but no date has been announced.

Like any other vehicle on the road, busses are subject to traffic congestion, vehicle breakdowns and other delays. Megabus already offers a text messaging service to advise riders of delays. However; the service isn't free and I have noticed a few problems with it.

Personally, I have found results on the text messaging system to be mixed. Hopefully, the new app will deliver the promised real time tracking that Megabus riders need. Find out more about the new app on the Megabus website.
