Free Christmas Events in Knoxville, TN

There are tons of free Christmas plays and pageants in Knoxville. Every corner of the city seems to have something to offer this holiday season. If your family is looking for inexpensive Christmas fun be sure to check the events page on the City of Knoxville website.

There is a long list of holiday activities, many of which kick into gear well before Thanksgiving day. Some run until the first of the year or just after.

One look at the website and I was impressed by the range of holiday activities that the city has to offer. For example, this photo was taken at Chilhowee Park and is just one free event out of many that visitors may enjoy.

This photo is from the Comcast Christmas in Chilhowee Park. The Christmas tree lighting in Krutch Park is another fun activity. This usually takes place in the early part of December or the end of November. The event is part of the Regal Celebration of Lights at Market Square Mall.

Like many of the events on the list above this one was both budget and family friendly. There are so many great low cost events in Knoxville that the biggest problem is going to be deciding which ones to attend. Have fun!

  1. As soon as Thanksgiving is behind me I'll be heading downtown to get in the Christmas spirit.
