The 5.5 Alaska earthquake that struck today rocked my world for about a minute. An aftershock happened about a minute later. There was no damage and no injuries. It took a few seconds for me to realize what was happening.
When the Alaska earthquake happened, I was standing outside the house talking with the missions leader and pastor. Allie and John were inside the house. Thankfully, there was no damage. Allie said that she felt it but John said he did not. She was on a ladder on the first floor. He was on a ladder in the basement.
It was an interesting experience. Hopefully, we won't repeat it.
