Yesterday we hung insulation. Today we are installing a moisture proof barrier. The walls and ceiling of the house must be sealed in giant sheets of plastic. We are told to expect this to be a long and tedious job.
Tonight, we are going to the home of parishioners for a gathering. Several local artisan crafters will be displaying their wares. We will also get to learn more about what life is like here in Alaska.
I'm falling in love with what I've seen so far. It's very different but very straightforward so far. I'm learning so much!
