Try Louisville For a Close-to-Home Vacation

Louisville is not far from Knoxville. I think it took our family only 4 hours to make the trip. We found to be an easy drive. Like many cities you want to try to avoid rush hour.

We went through on our way to Alaska. This wasn't our first trip to Louisville. It definitely won't be the last.

One of the attractions that I want to see is the Louisville Slugger factory. Baseball isn't my favorite sport but I would like to see how the world-famous bats are made. It just sounds like a fun few hours.

The Louisville Zoo is a must see. We always have a great time when we visit. The neat thing is that they reciprocate with the Knoxville Zoo and other zoos around the country. This makes admission easy.

Of course, racetrack fans will want to discover Churchill Downs.

In a nutshell, Louisville, Kentucky provides many opportunities for family fun. It is close enough to Knoxville to make it affordable and relaxing.
