Morristown also has a mall and a growing number of restaurants. Near the Wal-Mart you'll find branded restaurants like Ryan's or Zaxby's. You'll need to go further into town to find places that the locals like. Angelo's has been around for years and is well liked. The Little Dutch in the downtown area can't be beat for a good local diner.
You won't have to look far for cultural arts and heritage. Stop in at the Rose Center. They'll have all the information you need about cultural events, Civil War history and area cultural groups. If they don't have the information that you are looking for the Chamber of Commerce will.
When you are considering a weekend trip in East Tennessee a trip to Morristown might just be what you are looking for. It's good for couples, history and Civil War buffs and families who enjoy the great outdoors.
