In 2009, an estimated 50,000 people converged in downtown Knoxville to enjoy one of the best Italian street fairs in the southern United States. Italian festivals and street fairs happen all over the country. They are a time of celebration and fun. The National Italian American Foundation maintains an online list of many fairs and festivals.
If you miss the Knoxville Rossini Festival don't worry. The Memphis Italian Festival is right around the corner on June 3-5, 2010 in Marquette Park. Directions are online.
