Google provides free WI-FI on domestic flights; That's happy Ho Ho Ho!

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! It's not just Santa that's bringing gifts this year it's Google. Travelers will be able to enjoy free WI-FI internet on domestic flights this holiday season. What better way to pass the time and keep connected with family and friends than through free internet?

Last year, Google offered free internet in airports. This year, it will be offered in the air. The airborne service is sure to be a help to anyone who can take advantage of it.

Ian Paul with PCWorld points out that computer users need to be aware of computer security when using the airborne internet. He suggests a list of possible fixes on this article. Protecting your computer is a necessity anytime. It makes sense that you need to reevaluate your precautions when traveling.

In an already stretched economic climate this is a welcome boon for travelers. Google has been offering internet service on some flights by Delta, AirTran and Virgin America. From November 20, 2010 to Jan. 2, 2011 the service will be free.

How's that for a Christmas gift this year? Ho Ho Ho!
