Jacksboro UMC Spring Fling 2011

Are you traveling on I-75 through Tennessee this Saturday? Jacksboro United Methodist Church is having their first Spring Fling on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. There will be barbeque and a yard sale indoors.  Everyone is invited.

One of the events is new to the church. Their first ever car show will be held in the courthouse parking lot. Be sure to pick up a voting ballot at the car show registration table. You get to have your say on who gets the People’s Choice Award.

Pay careful attention to the cars as you walk by. Decide which one you like the best and drop your vote in the box. The winner of the award gets a trophy. Even more importantly, they get bragging rights.

More information about the Jacksboro United Methodist Church Spring Fling is available on the church blog. Visit http://jacksboroumc.blogspot.com for directions, address and just to keep up with the latest events.

Getting to Jacksboro UMC is easy!

From Knoxville, take I-75N. Exit at #134 (Caryville). Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the ramp. It’s about 3 miles to the next traffic light. When you get there, turn right and turn left onto the first street. You will see a stop sign in front of you. The church is just beyond it.

You’ll see the doors and car show as you approach the Jacksboro United Methodist Church Spring Fling. Park your car beside the church, on the side of the street or wherever you can.

Funds from these events go toward the building fund, movie night, children’s programs and other ministries of the church.  This is a family centered event that everyone can enjoy. Don’t forget to bring your camera. There are sure to be lots of photo ops!
