Pizza Inn on Clinton Hwy in Knoxville

Here is Travel Bear at the Pizza Inn on Clinton Hwy., in Knoxville. My daughter and I were looking for a place to eat on this side of town and decided to stop in. Since Travel Bear was with us we had to snap a photo.

I have a tendency to shy away from chain pizza places in favor of mom and pop locations. But, that's the ideal to live up to. There's a shortage of dine-in pizza places on this side of town so we decided to try this one.

The Pizza Inn on Clinton Hwy. hasn't been open too long. It's already packing in the crowds. We were there early and the place was already packed. One taste of the pizza and it's easy to see why.

My daughter and I ate from the buffet. Everything was fresh and hot. Ordering from the buffet was also faster than ordering our own pie. Everything was already on the buffet at the Pizza Inn.

A charismatic employee was taking orders for pizza. If anyone wanted something that wasn't already on the buffet he would see to it that the pizza was made to order and put out there for everyone. That may be something that happens at other Pizza Inn restaurants but I've not seen it.

The cost for dinner was pretty hard to beat too. We paid $17.12 plus tip.

If you are thinking about going to the Pizza Inn on Clinton Hwy. this map will get you there.
