Take a tip from Brad and Angelina have a child free vacation

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got to spend a quality vacation together without the kids. Who hasn't dreamed of spending a night or two away?

Although granted, this famous couple can afford an entourage of help that none of us will be able to match. This doesn't mean that parents have go give up on the idea of a vacation without the kids.

It can be good to vacation like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did from time to time. I'm not talking about the money thing but about leaving the kids at home. Parent only getaways give parents a good time to reconnect and unwind. Plus, it's something that other parents recommend.

A few nights at grandma's is an obvious vacation opportunity. Those of us who don't have that option have to be a little more creative. It doesn't mean we have to give up on child free travel.

Planning ahead can help you take advantage of times when the kids are out of the house anyway. Taking a close look can reveal more chances for a child free vacation than you might think.

Sleepovers are a good time to vacation without the kids. If your child is invited to a sleepover talk with the parents. Offer to have their child over for a sleepover in the next month and be sure to follow through. You'll be able to get the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie getaway that you need.

If your child goes on a vacation why not take one too? Youth group outings and church lock ins can provide a quick getaway opportunity. Just don't forget what time to pick the kids up. Other times when you may be child free are when the kids are on a mission trip, summer camp or band trip.

Both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts go camping to test their skills. Parents can seize on this opportunity to take some time alone. Parents can camp in the same campground but on the other side or take the overnight to do something special.

Child free vacations like the one Angelina and Brad enjoyed don't just come about spontaneously. The Brad and Angelina idea of a getaway without kids takes some extra planning but the result of a weekend away are worth the effort.
