Christmas Parade in Etowah, Tennessee

Did you hear about the Christmas parade in Etowah, Tennessee?  I hear that it's the best parade on this end of McMinn County. The 2012 parade is set to kick off on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. Dress for the weather and come join us. Etowah is a peppy historic small town with plenty of charm.

Visitors to the Christmas parade have lots to cheer about. It goes right down historic Main Street. There will be floats and marching bands. Capping it off at the end of the parade is a special visit from the big guy himself. Santa Claus has made special arrangements to be here. (Don't worry kids, the elves are holding down the workshop at the North Pole. It's all good there.)

Be prepared to take your time when you come to the Christmas parade in Etowah, Tennessee. Arrive early for the best parking spots. Stroll historic Main Street, eat dinner at Michael's, the Farmhouse Restaurant, Scotty's or one of the other restaurants in town. Go Christmas shopping at one of the unique antique stores that Etowah is known for. Pick up extra batteries for your camera... There are plenty of reasons to arrive early.

While you're visiting, be sure to stop at the L&N Depot (home of the Etowah Chamber of Commerce). This piece of Etowah history is over 100 years old and sits almost exactly in the center of downtown Main Street. A park is right in front of it where you can sit for a minute.

Don't rest in this spot for too long. You will want to have your camera fired up and ready to go. When the Christmas parade in Etowah starts, you won't want to miss a minute of it. See you here!

  1. While you are waiting for the parade to start stop by the Enterprise building on Ohio st across from the Etowah libary. The Etowah senior citizens have their annual Christmas Cafe, with wonderful HOMEMADE cookies, candies, cream of vegetable soup etc.

  2. Thanks for telling us where to find them. Sounds like the ideal spot to pick up holiday cookies and warm up with the soup. I can't wait for the parade. Everyone needs to come out! It's going to be fabulous.
