The big names helped draw crowds who appreciate the beauty of the city. Now over a quarter-million visitors flock to Knoxville for the month-long festival. Don't worry about the crowds though. From 4th and Gill downtown to the Turkey Creek Greenway in West Knoxville, locals and tourists alike can enjoy the great outdoors. April 12 - Dogwood after Dark
Do you see the big tent in the parking lot on Union Avenue? It's between Gay Street & Krutch Park. No, not yet? You will. If you like edible art, food, wine and artistic music, then this is your place. Tickets are $75 each and may be ordered online. Here's the full scoop.
April 12-14 - Market Square Art Fair
This is one of my favorite parts of the Dogwood Arts Festival. A good portion of downtown around Market Square Mall becoming a thriving street fair. There are arts and crafts, three stages worth of non-stop entertainment plus a culinary ats demo and a tasting area. I almost forgot to mention the wine tasting, children's area and juried artwork. It's free, it's fun and the parking is free. Here's the 411.
Then there are the Bikes & Blooms and the Dogwood Art DeTour taking place on April 20-21, 2013 and the bus tours on the Dogwood Trails. Each of these offer more unique ways to take in the festival. Click any of the links above to go to a page with more information.
