Tennessee Festivals Equals Fun!

Just because summer may have officially ended on Labor Day that doesn’t mean fun has ended.  There is so much going on across the Great State of Tennessee in the next few months I don’t want you to miss out.  Following is a summary of some of the Tennessee Festivals where you, your family and friends can have fun!

What's more fun an a Ferris Wheel?  A fun festival in Tennessee!

September, 2015 Fun Festivals:

Saturday, September 12th – International Cowpea Festival and Cook-off in Charleston, TN, at Charleston City Park.  If you don’t know what a cowpea is you might have to attend this festival to find out!  Check out www.cowpeafestival.com for more information.  This festival and cook-off begins at 10:00 AM and runs through 4:00 PM.

Saturday, September 26th – 4th Annual Alpha Upsilon Storytelling Festival.  This event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Standing Stone State Park in Livingston, TN.  This is a good event to take the kids to.  If you want more information you need to call 931-823-1916.

Saturday, September 26th – Maze Daze in Holiday, Tennessee.  This is another great family outing with the obvious corn maze.  There will be much more than that including a hay ride.  Go to www.blackwolfacres.com for more directions and additional details.

Red delicious apples!

October 2015 Fun Festivals:

Friday October 2nd and Saturday October 3rd – Unicoi County Apple Festival in Erwin, TN.  It’s that time of the year – apples, apples and more apples.  For more info on this festival go to www.unicoicounty.org.

Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th – National Banana Pudding Festival in Centerville, TN.  What can you say about this festival that isn’t already obvious – it’s all about banana pudding with a cook-off, entertainment and crafts.  Check out www.bananapuddingfest.org.  It looks like this will cost you $5 to get in but parking is free.  I wonder if you get to eat a lot of pudding?

Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th – Cleveland Apple Festival, Cleveland, TN.  This annual event is held in the downtown area where streets are blocked off and apples are prevalent!  Apple Valley Orchards is the main sponsor of this event.  There will be entertainment, crafts, food, contests and apples, apples, apples.  There is a charge to attend and you can find out all the details at www.clevelandapplefestival.org.

So if you are partial to banana pudding, apples or cowpeas – there is something for you at the upcoming Tennessee Festivals.  But there are more fun festivals for you to enjoy.  Just use this link www.TNvacation.com to learn more.
