American Charm - a Vacation Rental Cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

During our fall visit to Pigeon Forge  we stayed at a rental cabin called ‘American Charm’.  I found the listing through VRBO (Vacation Rentals By Owner) and this cabin truly is managed by the owner.  I like dealing directly with owners compared to a management company.

After reading the description, looking at the photos and checking out the comments from previous renters I had some questions for the owner.  Every time I asked a question he responded promptly. 

We rented American Charm for several reasons:

• It is Pet Friendly
• The cost to rent this cabin was very reasonable compared to others of the same size I checked out
• Proximity to the Parkway and the action

Since we travel with our dog Pet Friendly is the number 1 priority.  I had two other cabins in mind but the cost of this one compared to the other two made American Charm an easy choice.

In previous trips to Pigeon Forge we stayed 8 or so miles off of the Parkway.  For this trip we wanted to be closer to the main drag and American Charm is just a short ride to whatever shops or restaurants you need.

Since it was just my husband and I we really only needed the main level which consists of a kitchen/dining area/living room – open concept.  There is a full bath and bedroom plus a door to the back screened in deck with hot tub.  There is a TV in the living room area as well as the master bedroom.

Downstairs is another bedroom, full bath, entertainment area with pool table, TV and door to another deck. This is a perfect set up for two couples each having some privacy.  I believe the sofa is a sleeper sofa.  There is a front porch with a swing and chairs if you want to rest a while after a day of adventures. 

Just a hop, skip and a jump from the cabin you will find all kinds of restaurants but if you decided to cook up a meal on the grill at the cabin there are lots of dishes and a dishwasher to make it easy for you.

I can only comment on the king bed on the main level and I’ll tell you it was quite comfortable!  Water pressure for the shower was good.  The TV has cable so that took a little getting used to for us satellite users.
