Winter Activities in and Around Knoxville, TN

Between the cold, snow and rain it's been hard to be a kid. If  yours are saying "I'm bored" it may be time to try something new. Here are a few winter activities that are in and around Knoxville, Tennessee. Most of these take place  indoors but there are a few outdoor activities as well. Visit the a library.
Libraries aren't just for books anymore. At some locations you can learn a new craft, brush up on your computer skills, take the kids to a storytime, watch a movie, learn chess and of course you can still check out books and videos.

Do the zoo.
Pick out a warm day and visit the zoo. It's half price admission and a great family outing.

Take a short drive to Gatlinburg. All slopes are open. This has been the best time in years to go skiing or snowboarding.
