Hubby and I were able to attend EarthFest at Pellissippi State yesterday. We just had a great time! The booths were varied and interesting.
The Knoxville Police Dept. had an exhibit about disposing of medications. Did you know that flushing unused medicine can be harmful for the environment? I didn't. It's good to know that the KPD will take your unfinished prescriptions and dispose of them safely.
Keep Knoxville Beautiful was on hand to give away free trees. They were all about 18" tall and easy to transport home. We were able to reserve and pick up a Tulip Poplar for the Wesley Foundation on the UT Knoxville Campus.
Several vendors were on hand with their wares. For the most part it was handicapped assessable. There were moments when pushing the wheelchair up the hill were tough but we made it. (Hubby injured his knee and has to use crutches or a wheelchair.)
It was rainy at first but the clouds parted and the rain stopped. It wound up being an absolutely gorgeous day. I can't wait to attend next year!
