Heavy rains effect Knoxville area lakes

Bookmark and Share

What a difference a week makes. This picture was taken in Lenoir City, Tennessee on the week before the heavy rains effected the Knoxville area lakes. The way the light dances on the water makes you want to dive right in. It's a beautiful scene.

Unfortunately, in the lower photo you can see the results of the heavy rains on the Knoxville area lakes. A few days ago intense rains caused massive flooding in Nashville.

We didn't have much in the way of flooding (if anything) but the water did dirty up our lakes. It may take a few days for it all to clear out.

I don't know what Nashville water looks like but you have to feel for them. Knoxville is just over three hours away from Nashville.

Can you imagine what the Nashville lakes must be like if ours look like this?

In the upcoming days and weeks we'll be given a chance to help. I hope that we can all find some small way to assist the folks in Nashville.
