Knoxville area earth day festivals for 2011

Are you looking for Earth Day events in the Knoxville, Tennessee area? I’ve found three events to let you know about. Each one sounds like fun. One of the best things about these festivals is that all are family friendly. Couples may also enjoy visiting.

If you want to learn about green living you will want to attend these events. It’s a fun way to spend a few hours or a full afternoon.

Knoxville
EarthFest
April 16, 2011
10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

One of the first Earth Day events that visitors will want to know about is EarthFest 2011 in Knoxville. It’s located in Knoxville on the Pellissippi State Community College campus on Hardin Valley Road. The event is from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 16. View their website for full details.

Maryville
Maryville College Campus
April 24, 2011
5:00 – 8:00 pm.
This is the 3rd annual Earth Day festival for Blount County. It’s an evening event so you can come after soccer games and ball practice. The Blount County Chamber of Commerce website has all the details. There will be lots of booths and vendors.

Oak Ridge
Oak Ridge Civic Center and Bissell Park
April 30, 2011
11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

This family fun Earth Day festival includes a bicycle rodeo, Green Mile Race and lots of exhibits and vendors. There is even a hazardous waste collection.  This is the place to be if you want to learn about green living in Oak Ridge.
