Shopping for upgrades for our new home

By now, you know that my family has recently moved to another part of the state. Anytime you move to a new place there are always some small things that you want to change. After talking with a committee member we have been given the go ahead to update and make some improvements to our new home. This is the first time we've had this freedom and I'm looking forward to it.

The church committee has also made a few upgrades. They put down a new cool looking hardwood floor. I learned a few things from watching the installation process. Team members also worked hard to install new paneling in the bathroom. The pattern works really well.

Hubby and I paid a visit to our local home improvement store. We wanted to pick up some small items to go with the new flooring and paneling. Just for fun, we're looking at http://www.wholesalestonesinks.com and everything else.

The choices are almost overwhelming. Did you know that drawer pulls and knobs come in every style and color that you can think of? I didn't. Paint companies have been hard at work to develop new colors and shades. Off white isn't off white anymore.

There are a range of colors and options that I don't remember my parents having. The nice thing about paint is that we can paint over it with something else if we need to later.

I'm not sure what all we will wind up getting. This is going to be a mid range process. It's all a warm up to our next new home – a new R.V.

In the meantime, we're excited about living here and getting to know everyone.
