We found the Gee Creek Camground in Tennessee today

You won't believe what Hubby and I found when we were exploring our new area this afternoon. How does the Hiwassee Ocoee Scenic River State Park sound? If you've read my blog this far you know two things about me. One is that I'm a huge state and national park fan. The other is that we've recently moved.

Including tent sites, the Hiwassee Ocoee Scenic River State Park has several nice attributes. Since it is next to the Cherokee National Forest the beauty is astounding. Toss in the well shaded Gee Creek Campground and a few boat launches and you have the perfect combination for a great state park! People travel from all around to be here so you can bet that we'll enjoy this state park.

Hubby and I plan to own an RV, pop-up camper or travel trailer in the future. The idea if a go anywhere home on wheels appeals to us. We hope to travel around the U.S. and visit a lot more parks with the RV.

I noticed several different types of campers in the Gee Creek Campground today. We're considering a small class B or a camper van. These look like they would be easy to maneuver and comfortable enough to travel in. Friends of ours enjoy their Class A RV. They say they get good diesel performance and use it as often as they can.

Just about every type of travel trailer or recreational vehicle is on the table. From gas to diesel and pop-ups we're talking with as many owners as possible so we can make an informed buying decision.

A couple of trends have emerged. It seems that just about everyone with an RV enjoys traveling to state and national parks. The other trend is that we've found no one who has regretted purchasing their vehicle.

We figure that's good news for us. I don't know what kind we'll get yet but it's a sure bet that we'll enjoy it.
