I have to tell you that the Blue Ridge Parkway makes for a stunning road trip any time of year. People from everywhere will come to view the spectacular fall foliage.To me, it is just as pretty in the spring and fall as it is in autumn.
The full length of the Blue Ridge Parkway connections the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with the incredible Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
There are four different regions of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Each one has its own flavor.

Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park leads into the Blue Ridge Parkway if you are coming from the northern end of the state. At the southern end it is the opposite. Stunning overlooks await travelers. I think
each overlook on Skyline Drive is just as incredible as the other. If asked, there would be no way to choose which one is better. They're all pretty cool.
The Virginia Parkway Experience is sometimes overlooked as part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I, like others, tended to think of the Blue Ridge Parkway as a drive that is specific to North Carolina except for where it connects to Skyline Drive.
Challenging that thought is the Virginia Parkway Experience. It is a stunning display of fall color and verdant greenery in the summer. Spring brings out the delicate mountain flowers. Each season has its own special touch to offer.
