The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival tempted our taste buds today. There were so many extra vendors set up for the event that it was hard to know where to start. The vendors were from countries all around the globe. They didn't open until 11:00 am but when Hubby and I got there at about 10:45 am the crowds were already starting to form.
It looked like all of the vendors accepted the snack option of the Disney Dining Plan. We started saving our options from the minute we found out about the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. After taking a look at the area we decided to start at the back of the lake work our way to forward.
Each country represented itself through snack sized portions of popular dishes. We were able to try some delicious cheese and bread from Ireland. Then we wandered toward Spain to try a unique but tasty calamari salad. It was made with calamari, fennel and tomatoes with a vinegar dressing. I'd never had it before but it was good.
Our next stop was at the Singapore booth. They had a delicious shrimp cake on a skewer with pasta noodles. Finally, we worked our way over to Poland. We tried a cabbage leaf that was stuffed with pork. It was unusual but was probably my favorite.
By the time we finished this our FastPass time for Malestrom in the Norway pavilion was at hand. After that we took the great Disney transportation back to our resort for an afternoon break.
