There will be a benefit 5K race and one mile fun walk in Athens, Tennessee. Mark your calendars for March 23, 2013. There is an early bird registration fee of $20. After that the registration goes up to $25. The money will go to help a young woman with her medical costs. Even if you register early, you may still want to include the extra $5.
The benefit 5K race and one-mile fun walk is a way for the community to give back. There will be prizes for individuals and for teams who register. Plus, anyone who donates $25 or more gets a free t-shirt. The real reason to participate is to help someone who needs it.
BenchMark Physical Therapy is helping one of their own by putting the benefit 5K race/ one mile fun walk together. This is the second time that they have helped me overcome a health challenge. I know them and trust them. When they told me about the 5K race and one mile benefit, I felt compelled to blog about it.
A young woman on the BenchMark team is facing an extreme health crisis. I don't want to give out her personal information but I can tell you that she joined the team in 2011. Since then, she worked her way into the hearts of the community and is highly regarded among her co-workers.
Proceeds are deposited into a special account at Regions Bank in Athens. Race forms are available on the Facebook page of www.facebook.com/BenchMarkPhysicalTherapy. You can also email mnichols@benchmarkpt.com for more information.
The 5K race in Athens is an important benefit. I am happy to help spread the word about the event. Can you help by sending a check, Tweeting about it or by posting to your status? I think that the young woman will appreciate your support.
