Tennessee State Parks offers third night free on inns and cabins

You probably already know that Tennessee State Parks offers campgrounds and backcountry camping. Did you know that many offer inns and cabins? In fact, Tennessee State Parks are offering a third night free during summer 2013. The offer is good for stay during Sunday - Thursday. More details about the promotion are online.

We found out about the cabins on our trip to Roane Mountain State Park. Until then, I had never paid any attention. They looked so inviting that we had to inquire about them. Some offfer multiple bedrooms and most (if not all) of the comforts of home. Inns at other parks may give us a reason to keep our pop-up camper packed up for a night or two. They range from country charm to locations that are more sophisticated.

Inns and cabins aren't available at every park in the state. Fall Creek Falls, Natchez Trace, Pickwick Landing and Montgomery Bell offer inns.

Tennessee State Parks has a long list of locations that offer cabins. Some can be reserved online but you have to call the park directly for other locations. Your best bet is to check the website listings.

I never expected the Tennessee State Parks to offer a third night free promotion. I have always enjoyed my visits and all the great things that the parks offer. The promotion is definitely something to consider for summer vacation.
