After a stay of ten days you can bet that my husband and I looked for restaurants that deliver to the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. Car searches at the NIH entrance are the norm and you have to walk through the security detector. It was challenging to find restaurants that would deliver to the NIH.

Ordering dinner during rush was difficult as well. At least one place agreed to deliver as long as we agreed to wait until after 7:30 pm.

Quick service. Good hot wings and great pizza.

Golden House Chinese Restaurant
The website says to allow up to an hour for delivery. They're not kidding so don't be in a hurry.

Restaurants that deliver to the NIH in Bethesda that we didn't get around to ordering from include:
Mayflower Chinese

Bethesda Community Store and Deli - BBQ ribs, chicken, lobster rolls. Serving since 1924. If we had seen the brochure for this restaurant earlier in our stay, we would have tried it. The place is tops on my list for next time.
