Camp, Hike and Fish at Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport, Tennessee

Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport, Tennessee is named for a trading and war route formerly used by the Cherokee Indians. The land for this 950 acre state park was acquired from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and now offers a variety of recreational activities.

Fully accessible playground for children of all abilities.
The playground at Warriors Path State Park is not your average playground. The paved quarter mile trail is wheelchair accessible.

Tennessee is the first state in the U.S. to offer a Boundless Playground for children of all abilities. Each station on the A Lions Narnia Braille Trail has a large print sign with Braille and push button activated theater style recording.

Water
Warriors Path State Park sits on the banks of the Holston River . Don't forget to bring your Tennessee fishing license and your favorite gear. Fisherman can try their hand at catching bass, catfish, crappie and bream at the TVA Patrick Henry Reservoir.

As you can imagine, water sports are big here. Don't worry about bringing your own boat (unless you just want to). Paddle boats, canoes and fishing boats can all be rented. The public marina offers two free public boat ramps.

Hike
Hikers can enjoy exploring more than 12 miles of trails at Warrior Path State Park . These paths go through the diverse habitats of fields, wetlands and forests. Duck Island has a paved trail which is fully accessible. A boardwalk and other accessible trails are being planned.

Camp
Campers will find 135 campsites that are just waiting for them to arrive. Check in at the campground entrance. All camping sites at Warrior Path State Park are on a first come, first served and each of these have their own tables and grills. There are 94 campsites available with electrical hookups and water. Bathhouses have hot showers and modern conveniences.

Picnic
Visitors will want to bring lunch or dinner with them. There are 37 picnic spots along the lakeshore. Each table has its own grill. Restrooms and concession stands are near by. Groups can even rent one of the five pavilions for reunions or other events. With all these amenities it's no wonder than Warriors Path State Park is such a popular place.
