The first weekend of October 2010 is around the corner. You know what that means? The annual Pellissippi Hot Air Balloon Festival returns for 2010. Every year this festival gets better an better. It all started back in 2004. Now the event marks a major fundraiser for
The event is so large that it has been called “one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast” By the Southeast Tourism Society. This year there are 24 pilots. Together they represent ten different states.
There are plenty of other activities at the Pellissippi Hot Air Balloon Festival. It’s a family centered event that has something to offer for all ages. Wear your favorite pair of walking shoes because you won’t want to miss a minute of the fun.
Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. Pets and coolers are not. There are plenty of food vendors where you can grab a snack or bite to eat. As with any outdoor event visitors will want to wear sunscreen and dress in layers.
Admission is $10 per vehicle per day. If you choose to park off campus and walk in the cost to get into the Pellissippi Hot Air Balloon Festival is $5 per person per day for 2010.

Balloon Glow, hot air balloon rides, kids’ activities, entertainment, arts and crafts, plenty of food vendors and lots more!

Parking is free. Visitors should expect to pay an additional fee for the hot air balloon rides and a limited number of other activites.
